For a long time it has been a goal of Brian's to hike to the top of Pikes Peak and today he did just so! Along with some friends, Dean, Michael, Anthony, and Rebecca, they set out at 6:00a.m. and reached the top about 6 hours later. The pictures from along the way were amazing. The boys and I were the shuttle service hired to pick them up at the top. We ventured out about 10:30 to make the white-nuckled trek up the Pikes Peak Highway. The lack of guard rails is un-nerving! We made it to the top just as Brian and Dean were finishing. We celebrated with Pikes Peak's famous high altitude doughnuts and coffee.
