Welcome to our Garden

A perfect spot...
some teamwork...
and TCL...

and so became our little garden.  I was turned onto a neat concept in gardening from my friend Sandy last night called Square Foot Gardening.  It sounded easy, managable, and neat and so it was.  Our little 4x4 foot spot took little time to build and was fun for all.  We planted tomatoes, cucumber, spaghetti squash, basil, cilantro, beans, and marigolds (as a natural bug repellant.) Gave it a heavy dose of love, sunshine and water, and the rest of the story will remain untold 'til later this summer.  But I do have to say it was one of the most enjoyable family projects we have done in a long time!  My heart is happy!

Hi, Your garden is beautiful, you will have to ask your father about his gardening when we were first married 38 years ago. How are you going to keep the dogs out of it, can't wait to try some fresh veggies in Aug. Love Mom

It is beautiful! We also enjoy gardening. Something very satisfying about enjoying the results of your labor and watching something grow. We don't let the kids in ours though : ) What a great family project.
